Through Resian’s Dream Anti-FGM (Female Genital Mutilation) awareness campaigns, we are working to end this harmful practice through education, advocacy, and community engagement.

Yet for many girls—just like Resian—knowledge alone is not enough.
When the threat becomes immediate, girls are often forced to flee their homes with nowhere safe to go.
Making an Impact
Our vision is urgent: to build a permanent safe center in Kenya where girls facing the imminent risk of Female Genital Mutilation can escape harm before it happens. This center will be a lifeline—open when a girl has nowhere else to turn—offering immediate protection, healing, and the opportunity to grow into a future defined not by fear, but by dignity, opportunity, and hope.
More than a shelter, this will be a center of healing, protection, and empowerment. -Survivors will receive trauma-informed care, professional counseling, and educational support. Within this safe and nurturing space, fear is replaced with stability and trust. Girls rebuild confidence, reclaim their voices, and grow knowing their well-being, dignity, and future are valued and actively protected from harmful practices, including FGM and child marriage.

We are creating a survivor-led safe haven where girls are protected, empowered, and free from #FGM.
What our center provides:
• Emergency Shelter & Protection
A lifesaving safe haven for girls and young women facing imminent risk of FGM, forced child marriage, or violence—providing immediate protection, safety, and a pathway to healing.
• Trauma-Informed Care Approach
We provide compassionate, survivor-centered support for girls and women affected by FGM, forced child marriage, and gender-based violence. Our approach is culturally responsive and grounded in the lived realities of survivors and their communities. - prioritizing safety, trust, peer support, and empowerment to support healing and long-term resilience.
• Education & Life Skills Support
Through continued access to schooling, including Resian’s Dream Scholarship Fund and comprehensive life-skills training, we ensure girls stay in school and continue learning in safe, supportive environments. Girls build confidence, leadership, and practical skills that empower them to make informed choices, advocate for themselves, and shape their own futures. Education becomes both protection and possibility, laying the foundation for independence, resilience, and a new generation of confident leaders.
• Survivor-Led Advocacy & Community Engagement
Resian’s Dream is a survivor-led movement at the forefront of global efforts to end Female Genital Mutilation (FGM), and child marriage in rural Kenya. We shift the narrative from victimhood to leadership—empowering survivors to transform their lived experiences into catalysts for change that challenge deeply rooted social norms at the grassroots level.
Working with survivors, families, and community leaders, we implement community-led, rights-based solutions that advance prevention, protection, and sustainable change. Through education, advocacy, and survivor-centered support, our approach strengthens accountability, promotes the abandonment of FGM, supports safe and voluntary reintegration where appropriate, and safeguards the dignity, rights, and long-term well-being of girls and young women.
By advancing child protection, gender equality, quality education, and survivor-centered care, Resian’s Dream directly contributes to the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals 3, 4, 5, 10, and 16.
